What to expect on your first visit

Read below to find out exactly what happens

Step one:
Initial Consultation and History Taking

We are interested in what symptoms or health problems you are experiencing. There are many factors that cause spinal problems - falls, motor vehicle accidents, sporting injuries and incorrect lifting. Other lifestyle factors such as stress, diet and illnesses can lead to spinal problems, which is why a comprehensive history is taken.

Step two:
Detailed Examination

We use a sensitive heat reading instrument called a Nervoscope. We glide this down the spine in order to look for areas of abnormal heat distribution which could indicate nerve dysfunction and joint swelling. Next, We palpate (feel) your spine while moving different regions of your torso and pelvis to determine whether the spine is functioning normally. A lack of motion is a key factor in vertebral issues.

Step three:
Xray Analysis

To determine structural abnormalities, misalignments of the spinal bones, fractures and/or pathologies, it is necessary to take a set of digital x-rays to visualize the entire structure of your spine. This examination provides the Chiropractor with a blueprint for correcting and maintaining the health of your spine. These full-spine X-rays are taken in the standing, weight-bearing position to fully substantiate the examination findings, and are taken in-house, using our state-of-the-art digital radiography.

Step four:
Adjustment Report of Findings and Adjustment

Here, all information is collaborated and explained in detail to the patient. The doctor will go through your x-rays with you, describing in detail the condition of your spine, the best course of action, how long the treatment will take and what to expect. A Gonstead chiropractic adjustment is safe, gentle and highly effective, restoring proper function to your spine and nervous system. Your body can now begin its natural healing process, operating at its full potential.

Step five:
Follow-Up and Progress Monitoring

After the initial adjustments, follow-up appointments are scheduled to monitor progress and make any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan. This ongoing assessment ensures that the care remains effective and aligned with the patient's health goals.
