Health funds
Chiropractic care for Bupa members
As Australia's largest health fund, Bupa covers chiropractic on most of its extras policies. If you are a member, you can claim your visits with us using an item-coded receipt. Here is how claiming works, and what to confirm before your first visit.

Claiming with Bupa
What you can claim
Your care at Aura begins with a thorough assessment of how your body is holding stress. The visits themselves are claimable under most extras cover, and we hand you an item-coded receipt to claim through Bupa in the usual way.
Claimable with Bupa extras
- Chiropractic sessions, under most extras policies
- An item-coded receipt for every visit, ready to lodge
- Claims through Bupa in the usual way: their app, online or in person
Generally not claimable
- DNA profiling in the Nervous System Reset program
- Heart rate variability and thermographic scans
- Imaging, which is charged by the imaging provider, not by Aura
- Anything under hospital-only cover, which does not include chiropractic
How much comes back depends on your level of cover and your remaining limit. Bupa can confirm your chiropractic entitlement through their app or member line.
Your first visit
How a visit works
Every patient starts the same way: measure first, explain plainly, then care for the nervous system driving the problem.

Stage one: Initial Assessment, $99
One visit, $99, ordinarily $189. A full history and examination so we understand what your body has been carrying and for how long.

Stage two: Neurological scans and Report of Findings
Dr Arthur Kaganovitch (Chiropractor) explains all the different scans and results and comes up with a bespoke, unique plan for your needs.

Stage three: Nervous system first chiropractic care
Specific, gentle adjustments directed at what the scans and examination found, re-measured against your own baseline so you can see what has shifted.

Before you book
Every policy is a little different. A minute in your account or on the Bupa app tells you exactly what your cover includes.
- Extras, not hospital
- Chiropractic is claimable under most Bupa extras policies. Hospital cover on its own does not include it.
- Your annual limit
- Extras cover comes with an annual limit for chiropractic. It is worth knowing how much of yours remains for the year.
- Waiting periods
- Newer policies can carry a waiting period before you can claim. A quick look at your Bupa account will confirm yours.
- Grouped services
- Some policies pool allied health services under one shared limit, so using one can reduce another.
Most Bupa extras policies include chiropractic. Hospital cover on its own does not. Whether a given visit is claimable, and how much comes back, depends on the level of extras you hold, so it is worth checking your policy before you book.
