Sciatica treatment in Toorak
That pain, numbness or tingling down the leg has a source. Our work is to find it and settle it.

How it tends to show up
Does this sound like you?
Pain that travels from the low back or buttock down the back of the leg
Numbness, pins and needles or a tingling line down the leg or into the foot
A deep ache or sharp, shooting pain that worsens when you sit for a while
Weakness or heaviness in the leg, or pain that eases when you move and walk
One nerve, from your low back to your foot
Sciatica is a signal from an irritated nerve, not a diagnosis on its own. We look for what is compressing or aggravating it, and how your nervous system is holding the tension around it.
The sciatic nerve is the longest in the body. It begins in the lower spine and runs through the buttock and down each leg toward the foot. When it is compressed or irritated, anywhere along that path, the result is the pattern most people call sciatica.
The cause is often higher up than the pain. A disc under load, tight muscles pulling on the joint, or a spine that has lost its natural movement can all irritate the nerve. Finding which one is the point of the assessment.
Relief that lasts starts with the cause
Masking the pain is easy and rarely holds. Dr Arthur Kaganovitch (Chiropractor) works the other way, regulation before adjustment, so the change has something to stand on.
- We find the source: a full spinal and neurological examination, so we can tell where the nerve is being irritated rather than only where you feel it.
- We measure your system: heart rate variability and thermographic scans show how your nervous system is holding stress and tension around the injury.
- We settle and support it: precise, considered chiropractic care aimed at restoring movement, easing pressure on the nerve and calming a system that has been guarding.
What we do
Measure first, then care for the cause
Most care treats the symptom. We measure the nervous system driving it, explain it plainly, then care for what we found.

Stage one: Book an initial consultation
One visit, $99, ordinarily $189. A full history and examination so we understand what your body has been carrying and for how long.

Stage two: Neurological scans and Report of Findings
Dr Arthur Kaganovitch (Chiropractor) explains all the different scans and results and comes up with a bespoke, unique plan for your needs.

Stage three: Nervous system first chiropractic care
Specific, gentle adjustments directed at what the scans and examination found, re-measured against your own baseline so you can see what has shifted.

Chiropractic care is a common, conservative approach for sciatica. At Aura we assess where the sciatic nerve is being irritated, then use precise adjustments to restore movement and ease the pressure driving your symptoms. The first step is always an assessment, so we can be sure care is right for you.
